Le Repère welcomes you to the heart of the Mauricie region, in Saint-Roch-de-Mékinac, surrounded by outstanding natural beauty. Built just steps from the shoreline of the majestic Saint-Maurice River, this property offers a stunning, unobstructed view of the water and surrounding landscape. Across the river lies La Mauricie National Park, featuring a beautiful sandy beach ideal for swimming. The deep blue river, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and moonlight reflecting on the water create unforgettable moments.

The large private dock allows you to fully enjoy water activities, with 4 single kayaks and a rowboat with oars available (life jackets not provided). At the foot of the chalet, a calm, current-free private bay offers a safe and peaceful setting for paddling. Guests can relax on Adirondack chairs with a good book or try their luck fishing, as the area is known for bass, muskellunge, pike, and lake sturgeon.

Highly popular with families, Le Repère offers over 3,500 square feet of living space and can accommodate up to 14 guests. It is the perfect base for discovering the Mauricie region, its vast nature, and vibrant seasonal colors.

Ideal for remote work or team retreats, the chalet features unlimited high-speed internet. Working while overlooking the Saint-Maurice River provides an inspiring and productive environment, allowing you to combine work and nature seamlessly.

Le Repère offers all the comforts of a true “home away from home.” The chalet includes five spacious bedrooms (5 Queen beds, 1 King bed, 2 bunk beds, 2 single folding beds, 2 Queen mattresses, 1 child mattress, and 1 baby playpen), a fully equipped kitchen, two large living areas, three full bathrooms, and a laundry room. A year-round outdoor hot tub and therapeutic showers invite you to relax after an active day.

For added privacy, the master bedroom features its own ensuite bathroom. Enjoy the outdoors from the wooden patio with an outdoor fireplace, the dock, or the large glass balconies overlooking the river. Indoors, the cathedral-ceiling main living room with a fireplace creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. A four-season BBQ, fondue set, pool table, board games, and Wi-Fi are also available.

Well established in the short-term rental market for several years, Le Repère has built a loyal clientele that returns time and time again.

A wide range of outdoor activities can be enjoyed nearby. Snowmobile trails are directly accessible from the chalet and are less than 5 minutes away. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing trails are also located nearby. Hiking, cycling, ATV riding, and snowshoeing allow guests to explore the region’s impressive landscapes. The Jacques-Buteau National Trail, overlooking the river and crossing lakes and cliffs, is a must-see. History lovers will also enjoy a visit to the Logger’s Museum, showcasing over 100 years of regional history.

In winter, snow sports enthusiasts will be delighted. Vallée du Parc Ski Centre is less than 20 minutes away and offers alpine skiing, snowboarding, night skiing, and a ski school for all ages. Mont SM (formerly Mont Saint-Mathieu) is also a short drive away. Snowmobile trails are accessible directly from the chalet, and snowshoeing and cross-country skiing can easily be enjoyed in the surrounding area.
